Why this matters now
People in Malta still type into Google, but more and more also ask a chatbot: "who does cheap websites in Mosta?", "best dive school in Gozo for beginners?", "how much is a kitchen in Malta?". The AI reads pages it can reach, then writes an answer and often links the sources it used.
If your site is thin, slow, hidden behind images, or says nothing about prices or areas, the AI has little to pick up. A competitor with a clear page gets quoted instead. The good news is that what helps here is mostly the same groundwork that helps on Google.
What we build and set up
- Answer-first pages: each one opens with a short, direct answer to the question your customers ask, the kind of paragraph Google and AI tools can quote
- One page per service, industry or town you actually cover, each written fresh rather than copied with the name swapped
- A quick facts table on key pages: price, what's included, area covered, how to contact you
- Schema markup for your business, services, prices and FAQs
- A robots.txt that lets AI search crawlers in, plus an llms.txt summary file
- Your sitemap sent to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
- Google Business Profile tidied so your name, address, phone and hours match your site
- Plain-English guides that answer the longer questions people ask before they buy
What the AI companies actually say
OpenAI says that to appear in ChatGPT search, a site should allow its crawler, OAI-SearchBot, in robots.txt; sites that block it won't be shown in ChatGPT search answers (OpenAI crawler docs). Plenty of sites block it by accident through old security settings.
Google says its AI Overviews and AI Mode need no special tricks beyond normal SEO: crawlable pages, structured data that matches what's on the page, an up-to-date Business Profile and original, helpful content (Google AI features guide). Microsoft's Copilot draws on Bing, which is why we add your site to Bing as well.
llms.txt is a proposed format for giving AI tools a short summary of your site (llmstxt.org). Not every tool reads it yet. It takes minutes to add, so we include it and don't oversell it.
We use it on our own site
This site is built exactly this way: answer-first pages for each service, industry and town, a facts table on every page, full schema, AI crawlers allowed, and an llms.txt file with our prices. Have a look around and you'll see the structure we'd build for you.
We can't promise that ChatGPT or Google will mention any business, ours included. What we can do is remove the reasons they'd skip you, and give them clear, honest facts to work with.
How it works
Send the brief at /start/ with your website address. We look at your pages, your Google profile and what a few AI tools currently say when asked about your type of business in your area. We reply within 1 working day, talk it through, then quote the pages and fixes worth doing.
If you don't have a website yet, the basics come built into a €150 website, and extra pages can be added later. Shops selling online should also see e-commerce SEO.
